Terms of Service — Rider app
Rules for delivering with the FlashFood Rider app.
These Terms apply to individuals who deliver using the Rider app in the Philippines.
By enabling duty mode or accepting jobs, you agree to these Terms and the Rider Privacy Policy.
Independent delivery work
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, you provide delivery services as an independent contractor, not as a FlashFood employee. You are responsible for your own equipment, connectivity, and compliance with local traffic and licensing rules applicable to your mode of transport.
Eligibility and vehicle rules
- Complete rider KYC and obtain FlashFood rider approval before accepting jobs.
- FlashFood riders are limited to high-mobility modes (walk, bike, bicycle, e-bike, motorbike). Cars and other four-wheel vehicles are not permitted for FlashFood deliveries.
- Respect carry/weight limits. Do not accept jobs you cannot safely complete.
Jobs, location, and conduct
- Provide accurate on-duty status. Use location permissions as required for offers and live tracking.
- Handle food and goods with care; follow pickup and delivery codes; do not share codes publicly.
- Be respectful to customers and merchants. Do not discriminate or harass.
- Do not tamper with orders, solicit off-platform payment to bypass FlashFood, or misreport delivery status.
Earnings and cash-out
On delivered orders, FlashFood credits your wallet with the delivery fee net of the applicable rider platform fee (default 10%, unless adjusted for your account). In-app “earnings” views may show gross figures for readability; wallet balance follows net credits.
Cash-out methods and requests follow the same verification and min-amount rules as other wallet users.
Safety and liability
You are responsible for safe riding and compliance with traffic laws. FlashFood is not liable for traffic incidents to the extent permitted by law. Report safety incidents through Report a concern.
Suspension
FlashFood may force off-duty, revoke rider approval, or ban accounts for fraud, unsafe behavior, customer abuse, or policy breaches.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction’s law.
Before filing a formal complaint with a government agency or court, please contact FlashFood through Report a concern so we can attempt a prompt internal resolution. For internet-transaction issues, FlashFood aims to address consumer complaints through our in-app redress channel in line with applicable requirements under Republic Act No. 11967 (the Internet Transactions Act) and its rules.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394), the Internet Transactions Act, the Data Privacy Act, or other non-waivable protections.
Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect product or legal changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date on this page and, where appropriate, provide an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms, except where additional consent is required by law.
