Terms of Service — Customer app
Rules for ordering food and eligible goods through the FlashFood Customer app.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and FlashFood for use of the Customer mobile application and related ordering services in the Philippines.
By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy for the Customer app.
The service
FlashFood is a local delivery platform. Merchants may offer cooked meals and shelf-stable or packaged goods that meet platform and carry rules. FlashFood is not the restaurant or store unless expressly stated; merchants prepare or pack items, and independent riders deliver them.
Availability of stores, items, riders, and payment methods varies by time and location. Displayed fees may include goods subtotal and delivery fees. If an order exceeds single-rider carry limits, FlashFood may require splits and multiply delivery fees accordingly, as shown before you confirm.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be able to enter into a binding contract under Philippine law.
- Provide accurate registration information. Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- KYC (name, phone, email, address proof) is optional for ordering but may unlock trust indicators. Phone and email verification may use OTP or Google Sign-In.
- One FlashFood user record may also be used for merchant or rider apps; deleting your account affects the whole FlashFood account, not only the Customer app.
Orders, prices, and cancellations
An order request becomes a binding purchase flow once accepted under platform rules and payment clearance. Item availability can change; merchants may be unable to fulfill some items—FlashFood and the merchant will address issues through in-app support where appropriate.
Perishable goods and orders already with a rider may have limited cancellation rights. Unreasonable cancellation after confirmation may be restricted, consistent with fair consumer and platform practices for delivery of perishable items.
Payments
- Supported methods may include cash on delivery (COD) and transfer rails configured by FlashFood (for example e-wallets or banks).
- COD unlocks after you meet the successful-delivery threshold (default: 10), unless FlashFood adjusts eligibility for your account.
- For transfer payments, you must submit accurate proof. Orders may remain hidden from merchant/rider operations until payment is cleared (COD or verified transfer).
- Prices are generally in Philippine pesos (₱). Receipts/confirmations appear in-app for your order history.
Acceptable use
- Do not harass merchants, riders, or FlashFood staff.
- Do not submit false payment proofs, fraudulent reviews, or misleading KYC documents.
- Do not misuse the platform for unlawful goods or purposes.
- Follow handover instructions and treat delivery PIN/codes as confidential.
Reviews
Reviews must be honest and respectful. Merchants or riders may dispute reviews through platform tools; FlashFood may retract or keep a review after review of the case. Abusive content may be removed.
Disclaimers and liability
FlashFood provides the platform with reasonable care but does not guarantee uninterrupted service, rider ETA accuracy, or that every merchant item will meet your personal expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, FlashFood is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, except where liability cannot be limited (including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or rights that cannot be waived under consumer law).
Food safety and product quality are primarily the merchant’s responsibility; report issues promptly through order support with photos when relevant.
Suspension and deletion
FlashFood may suspend or ban accounts for fraud, abuse, or serious policy violations. You may request account deletion (soft delete with a 150-day cancellation window, then purge/anonymization) as described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction’s law.
Before filing a formal complaint with a government agency or court, please contact FlashFood through Report a concern so we can attempt a prompt internal resolution. For internet-transaction issues, FlashFood aims to address consumer complaints through our in-app redress channel in line with applicable requirements under Republic Act No. 11967 (the Internet Transactions Act) and its rules.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394), the Internet Transactions Act, the Data Privacy Act, or other non-waivable protections.
Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect product or legal changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date on this page and, where appropriate, provide an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms, except where additional consent is required by law.
Contact
Questions about these Terms: use Help / Profile → Report a concern in the relevant FlashFood app or the Admin console support tools. Order-specific problems should use the order’s Contact support / appeal flow where available.
